RECYCLABLES THAT ARE COLLECTED CURBSIDE
THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ARE COLLECTED CURBSIDE, TWICE A MONTH ACCORDING TO THE ZONE MAP.
RECYCLABLES ARE TO BE PLACED AT THE CURB NO LATER THAN 7:30A.M. ON THE DAY OF COLLECTION IN REUSABLE METAL OR PLASTIC BINS.
RECYCLABLES THAT DO NOT COMPLY WITH THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS WILL BE LEFT AT THE CURB. NEWSPAPERS - Black and white newsprint onlyl Remove colored, glossy inserts and advertisements which may be recycled with junk mail. Must be bundled and tied with string. (Do NOT..place in brown paper grocery bags or plastic bags.) MIXED PAPER - (junk mail and magazines) Place in a reusable container. A heavy magazine on top will prevent windblown debris. CORRUGATED CARDBOARD - 2nd recycling pick-up of the month ONLY! Flatten and tie. Does not include chipboard (cereal boxes, etc.). ALUMINUM BEVERAGE - Rinse cans thoroughly and place in reusable container. GLASS BOTTLES & JARS ONLY - Wash containers thoroughly, REMOVE LIDS, separate by color (green, brown, and clear) and place in separate reusable containers. TIN/BIMETAL CANS - Wash cans thoroughly and place in reusable container.
PETE #1 & HOPE #2 PLASTIC - ONLY those plastics coded #1 and #2 can be recycled. Look for symbol on bottom of plastic product. Wash thoroughly and discard lids. Stepping on containers to flatten them decreases storage space required. #1 includes soda bottles, salad dressing, and peanut butter jars. #2 includes milk and water jugs, laundry detergent, shampoos, and most cleaners. Throw out plastic codes #3 through #7, these are not recyclable...PLASTICS

FIREWOOD - Split firewood is sold at the Center on Saturdays in October. WOODCHIPS - Untreated woodchips are provided tree of charge. Bring your own container and help yourself. |
