Columbia High School: Facts, Fears or Folklore?
Columbia High School: Facts, Fears or Folklore?
Date: March 27th, 2012
Time: 7:30pm
Information: The Schools Committee of the South Orange/Maplewood Community Coalition on Race, with the CHS Home and School Association, present Columbia High School: Facts, Fears, or Folklore? to ill provide parents and other residents with a real sense of what it’s like to be a student at our community’s high school. We’ll talk about everything from school pride (5 kids from the class of 2011 accepted to Harvard!) to serious challenges (how are race relations?) to fun facts (yes, there is star gazing from the tower, and yes, sophomores still drop an egg from the tower!). The goal is to enrich our factual understanding and appreciation of CHS. The program takes place on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at the Columbia High School library, 7:30 PM. Free and Open to the Public. Please let us know you are coming by emailing info@twotowns.org or calling 973-761-6116, Ext. 4.
