| Information: | The Music for Kids Series at the Burgdorff Center will be presenting the Ariana Trio on Sunday, March 25, 2012, at 11:30am and 1pm.
The Ariana Trio, brainchild of flutist, Jill Sokol, violinist, Karen Spiess Kamp, and French hornist, Jill Van Nostrand, is a professional chamber music ensemble dedicated to music education and character development in young people. The group's first original show, “Ariana's Musical Journey”, introduces musical concepts such as melody and rhythm, as well as the families of musical instruments. The show is a fully produced theatrical production, including musical performance, acting, costumes, scenery, and audience participation, which kids really love.
During Ariana's adventure, she and her friends also learn about kindness, respect, civic duty, responsibility, fairness, and honesty. “Ariana's Musical Journey” is fun for both the audience and performers, in addition to being creative both musically and visually. What kid wouldn't like to play a magical instrument, journey through a forest, meet a woodland fairy, and chomp like an alligator?
The Burgdorff Center for the Performing Arts is located at 10 Durand Rd. Maplewood, NJ. Tickets are $5/person at the door. There are no advance ticket purchases.
